My parents pointed me here, and I'm so sorry for your loss. While our moms were (and have remained) good friends, you all moved away before I was old enough to get to know your father well. But he was one of those men of the church who I always looked up to and respected, and I know that he was a fine role model for you and your brothers -- and I'm sure a lot of other young men and women, too. As hard as it is, it is good that he was able to die in his home. And of course, he knows the Lord and the Lord knows him, so even in the midst of our sadness, we have joy.
