Quite frankly, Alice, the connection goes beyond mere loyalty. No less a luminary than the great John Cheever once said: “All literary men are Red Sox fans - to be a Yankee fan in a literate society is to endanger your life.”
Ah, yes. And the Tiger's win!
I gave birth 26 years ago TODAY to the Tiger's NUMBER ONE fan.
Their win was my son's best birthday gift.
